I remember Congulations, it'a boy. It came after The Courtship of Eddie's Father and before The Magician. Thank you for adding it.

Not to be a downer, but isn't that a valid copyright notice right under the title of "Congradulations?"

better yet, what does the copyright office (books) say. Not just what the notice says. YOU, Moongleam, should know by now that it is not just the notice.

it's notice (registered with copyright office) + renewal (anniversary window).

I am not saying that you or he is right but do the research.

Registrations don't apply for films made in 1971 if there is a valid notice, and neither does renewal. This one has a copyright symbol, the year in roman numerals, and the name of the company. Looks valid to me. I tried to attach a pic but the forum rejected it, so you all will just have to take twelve seconds out of your life to start the film on the above link and see for yourselves.

No renewal is needed for films made in the u.s.a. in 1964 or later. In other words, no copyrights on u.s. films released in 1964 or later have expired. Renewal is automatic. "Night of the Living Dead", for example, is public domain only because it lacked a valid notice.

Regarding this film, it's possible that the notice was added later to some prints. I believe that Video-Cellar has said this sometimes happens.

The film is included in a Mill Creek pack that may have been discontinued:

I'll rephrase the statement. Can one check the copyright record to see if the films is listed??? Perhaps it's not listed and that is why the PD companies sell it. This my point, Whether it stays or goes makes no difference to me. Just trying to be fair.

This is what I am getting at.
